We’ve redesigned Just2us into one home for the apps we make and the stories behind them.
In our previous update, we shared how we brought blog.just2us.com under the same roof as everything else. That gave us the foundation. This redesign is what we built on top of it.
One home, finally
The old website had grown one page at a time, over many years. Everything worked, but it felt like parts of Just2us had moved in without ever unpacking their boxes.
Now the homepage opens with our app icons floating around the words, “We build apps that we love to use.” Move your pointer or scroll and they gently shift at different depths.
It’s a small surprise. You might not immediately notice what moved, only that the page feels alive. That’s my favourite kind of animation.
From there, we still give a few featured apps room to shine: Poo Keeper, Dualgram, and SG Schooling.
Have you used all three? If not, go on. We put the links there for a reason.
The part I’m proudest of
Those three are only the front door. The app wall is where the rest of the collection gets to play.
At first, it’s simply icons and names. Hover over one, or tap it on mobile, and it wakes up with a description and screenshots where we have them.
I’m especially proud of this bit. A wall full of product descriptions feels like homework. Ours rewards curiosity instead, with just enough animation and information when you ask for it.
More like us
The rest of the design follows the same idea: confident colour, larger typography, abstract artwork, and fewer things fighting for attention.
The violet and lime aren’t shy, and they shouldn’t be. Just2us makes useful apps, but useful doesn’t have to mean boring.
And no generic photos of people smiling at phones. We’ve all suffered enough.
Stories worth wandering through
I didn’t want our stories hidden behind a Blog link, so six recent posts now sit directly on the homepage.
Then there’s the archive. We’ve been writing since 2008, which means the Topic Cloud isn’t just navigation. It’s a map of the ideas, apps, and occasional obsessions we’ve returned to over the years.
Pick a topic and follow the thread. The larger it appears, the more history waiting inside.
Built for what comes next
This is a bigger, brighter home for everything we’ve already made, with room for whatever we make next.
